Certified and accredited by AFDNP & AADP
Kristin Anderson is a dedicated mother of three and a registered nurse with 17 years of experience in various roles. While she acknowledges the often chaotic nature of life, she has learned to find joy in the simple things and recognizes the power of returning to basics for overall well-being.
Early in her nursing career, Kristin discovered a deep passion for oncology and end-of-life care, eventually becoming a palliative care nurse. She was drawn to the holistic approach of palliative care, which considers the whole person rather than focusing solely on individual issues. Kristin excelled at gathering information, listening to the stories of her patients' lives, and developing personalized plans to help them live well with chronic disease. Her mantra was, "We can't make this go away, so how are we going to live with what we have?" Through countless conversations with individuals nearing the end of their lives, she observed a common theme: many wished they had lived differently or embraced life more fully. This sparked a desire to explore ways to live well throughout life, not just at the end.
In 2017, Kristin faced a personal health crisis that further fueled her passion for well-being. On Mother's Day, she was experiencing severe stomach pain. Her young son sweetly asked her to watch him play outside. Despite the pain, she mustered the strength to lie on the porch, where she began researching gut health. After struggling with "stomach issues" for some time and being prescribed PPIs during her pregnancy, Kristin discovered that PPIs can deplete the stomach acid needed for proper digestion. That day marked the end of her PPI use and the beginning of an intensive journey into gut health.
Kristin embarked on numerous holistic programs and experimented with various supplements in her quest to heal her gut. Driven by the desire to be well for her children and herself, she realized that living a symptom-free and enjoyable life was possible.
Following a divorce, Kristin recognized the multifaceted nature of gut repair, acknowledging the significant impact of stress on gut health. She became passionate about gut health, drawing from her own experience that healing is achievable. She became certified in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition and now dedicates herself to educating and empowering others to heal their guts naturally. She emphasizes the importance of cultivating and maintaining a healthy gut terrain, similar to how farmers nurture their crops. A balanced gut microbiome can prevent harmful bacteria from causing inflammation and illness, allowing individuals to live more fully and enjoy their time on earth she believes all it takes is a little help.
Kristin utilizes the MRT food sensitivity test, which analyzes mediator responses to 176 foods, to help clients understand their sensitivities and guide them through elimination and reintroduction strategies. She also employs the GI Map, a stool test that assesses the overall health of an individual's gut.

What is FDNP?
FDN stands for Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner. As FDNPs, we are trained to identify hidden stressors and dysfunctions in the body by using advanced functional lab testing without diagnosing or treating disease.
Rather than chasing symptoms, we investigate why the symptoms are showing up in the first place. Our goal is to restore balance and function to the entire body, supporting healing at the root level, not just managing surface-level symptoms.
-
How we use functional lab testing:
Functional lab test allows us to look at hidden stressors and imbalances in order to gather objective data that traditional testing often misses.
This will include:
GI MAP which looks for bacteria that is out of balance, yeast, parasites, leaky gut and inflammation in the gut. This also allows us to see your intestinal health. If the gut terrain is out of balance the entire body will be affected. The gut houses 70% of the body's immune system. By restoring balance to the gut terrain, other systems should rebalance on their own.
MRT which looks at foods that are causing inflammation to the gut lining. Often times people are sensitive to certain foods, and they are unaware. This food sensitivity test uses live blood and foods are added to the live blood. This test creates a mediator response unlike many other food sensitivity test where you have to actually be eating the food to see results.
These labs help us answer questions like:
Why are you fatigued all the time?
Why is your digestion off even when you are eating healthy?
Why do I have so much brain fog?
Once we analyze your labs, we create a personalized healing protocol that may include:
Targeted supplementation
Nutrition and lifestyle changes
Nervous system and detox support
Gut, liver and hormone optimization

The end result?
Clients experience more energy, better digestion, improved sleep, stabilized moods, balanced hormones, and long-term symptom resolution not by masking the symptoms but by addressing the root cause.
